James came to the JDA Manchester studio in 2024, bringing with him an impressive background in residential design, care homes, master-planning and heritage projects, as well as a proven track record in the delivery of commercial developments.

 

A graduate of both University of Nottingham and Liverpool John Moores University, James qualified in 2012 and has since built an extensive portfolio of projects he has been involved with nationwide.

 

With a keen eye for concept and design, James works closely with clients and consultants, taking time to fully understand a client’s requirements and find workable solutions. This empathic approach aligns with JDA’s Core Values and ensures that each project is delivered to a high standard and firmly aligns to the client’s vision. His background in care home design James recognises the importance of creating spaces that prioritise the needs of users, promoting comfort, dignity, and well-being.

 

His expertise covers a wide range of project scales, from bespoke luxury homes to large scale developments incorporating over a thousand properties, as well as anything in between. He has a skill in navigating the planning system, and his collaborative working ethos allows him to push projects forward. Regardless of the size, James excels in navigating the various challenges a project can offer, resulting in a successful and innovative outcome.

 

With a strong attention to detail, James is dedicated to creating well-considered, inclusive design to enhance the user experience. His contributions to the residential and care home sectors have earned him recognition, with several of his projects shortlisted as finalists for various design awards.
