White House
about the project
Year: 2018
Client: Private
Location: North West
Program: RIBA Stage 1-7
This breath-taking two-storey dwelling exemplifies modern eco-friendly living, utilising modular construction methods with Nudura insulated concrete forms.
Nestled in a semi-rural setting, the home’s sleek lines and contemporary material palette create a striking contrast against its beautiful natural backdrop. The built form was based on the more international style that ensured geometry and order to a home for 21st century living.
This unique design not only enhances the aesthetic appeal but also promotes sustainability, making it a remarkable addition to the landscape.
The scheme was assessed and endorsed by the bespoke independent design review service, Places Matter.
This independent appraisal is recognised in the National Planning Policy Framework and allows an expert panel, committed to improving design in the built environment, to challenge the proposals and promoting good design.
Following two reviews, the scheme was accepted as an exceptional design and put forward to the local authority as leading the way for Architectural design and quality.
