Situated in Cheadle Hulme, Stockport, this pioneering affordable housing scheme for Stockport Homes featured 14 modular construction houses, expertly built off-site.
These carefully designed and co-ordinated properties were delivered by Willerby Homes, who are better known for the manufacture of holiday homes and lodges.
With the components formed in factory conditions, the designs considered the transport logistics allowing the volumetric units to be moved to site on low loaders for final assembly and without the need for specialist escorts.
This innovative approach not only accelerates the construction process but also promotes sustainability and efficiency in housing development.
The design emphasised modern living and by leveraging modular construction techniques, the scheme aimed to address the pressing need for affordable housing in the area, offering residents high-quality homes that are both stylish and functional.
