This residential development, situated in Winsford, Cheshire, features 268 traditional family homes alongside generous public open spaces, revitalised habitats, and seven new football pitches designed in accordance with Sports England’s requirements.
The scheme was ecology led to maximise the existing landscape and vegetation with additional swales and ponds being proposed to supplement the existing blue infrastructure.
Designed for Equans, as a collaboration of end users Equans, Cheshire West and Chester & Riverside, the project harmoniously integrates with its natural surroundings, which include woodlands and ponds, creating a distinctive sense of place and community.
The housing options range from walk-up apartments to two-and-a-half-storey homes, as well as bungalows, all constructed using traditional materials like brick and render to blend seamlessly with the local architecture.
Expansive public open spaces are easily accessible via a comprehensive network of footpaths, enhancing the existing public right of way and promoting community connectivity.
