Pollard Street combines modern living with the historical essence of New Islington, Manchester.

This 11 storey development consists of 62 one and two-bedroom apartments, designed to respect the area’s rich industrial history through its brickwork facades and distinctive sawtooth plan and roofline.

Under the Building Safety Act (BSA) 2022, Pollard Street is classed as a Higher Risk Building (HRB).

Ensuring that the safety of the building is fully considered, Pollard St must pass through the BSA 3 Gateway points at the planning, building control approval and completion, ensuring that safety measures are upheld throughout all stages of development.

As a HRB the scheme has to navigate the rigorous building control approval process with the Building Safety Regulator (BSR).

Apartments feature spacious recessed balconies that enhance outdoor living, makes them comfortable and usable throughout Manchester’s varied weather.

Each apartment is thoughtfully designed to meet M4(2) Accessible and Adaptive dwelling standards, ensuring generous bedroom sizes and ample space for easy movement, promoting a welcoming and inclusive environment for all residents.
