With ForHousing committing to delivering MMC, JDA were asked to become involved in the delivery of redundant garage sites utilising modular methods due to our decade long experience in this field.

Engagement with both the staff and management of both ForHousing and Liberty along with other key consultants and suppliers, was undertaken over a number of months where JDA positively challenged the outputs and fully explored the suggested delivery method.

 

Following the design development process, the indicative layout was completed to show a total of 12 units with a mix consisting of 6no 2 Bed 4 Person two storey houses and 6no 3 Bed 5 Person two-and-a-half storey houses.

 

With the surrounding context made up of two storey dwellings with some examples of both larger and smaller buildings in the area we responded by adding a mix of vernaculars with both 2 and 2-and-a-half storey houses. The houses address the street and immediate neighbours.
