Rob Baines

Technical Manager & Retrofit Co-ordinator

Rob trained as an Architectural Technologist at Manchester Building College, qualifying as a Chartered Member of CIAT in 1994. To reinforce his qualifications in Architecture, Rob completed a RIBA course on Design and Construction Health and Safety Risk Management, becoming a member of the Association for Project Safety (APS).

Before joining JDA in 2012, he had his own practice providing him with extensive industry knowledge and hands-on experience across a range of projects, from working on environmentally friendly self-sustainable schemes on an island off the West coast of Africa to high rise apartments in Liverpool.

As Technical Manager, Rob bridges the gap between design and construction, working closely with the team to ensure that each project is delivered to the highest standard, and that all technical matters are solved quickly and efficiently.

Rob has more recently become responsible for JDA Sustain, our Retro fit and Refurbishment element of the business, gaining his Level 3 DEA Certificate and Level 5 Diploma in Retrofit Coordination and Risk Management

As a qualified retrofit PAS 2035 Design Coordinator and leader and so he strives to incorporate environmentally friendly solutions into all JDA's projects.

With Retrofit now having the ability to lead regeneration schemes Rob ensures that the two sides of the process can come together to add huge value to schemes across the Private and Social Housing schemes.

By combining his experience in eco-friendly homes and buildings, as well as implementing renewable and retrospective implementation, JDA can now offer a full and holistic approach to Sustainable Design.
